About Li:

I hold degrees of Bachelor of Arts in trombone performance from Sichuan Conservatory of Music, Bachelor of Music in trombone performance from Bowling Green State University and Master of Music in trombone performance from University of michigan.

I am currently working as a trombone mentor with the Detroit Civic Orchestra. Also I am currently the principal trombone of University of Michigan Symphony Orchestra.

I have played as the Principal trombone with the Bowling Green Philharmonic Orchestra, Perrysburg Symphony Orchestra (ohio), Idyllwild Festival Orchestra in Los Angeles, Chengdu Symphony Orchestra, and the Sichuan Opera Orchestra, as well as the assistant principal trombone with the Sichuan Province Philharmonic Orchestra.

I performed the Improvisation No.1 for Solo Trombone by Enrique Crespo in the 41st International Trombone Festival. I played the Gordon Trombone Concerto with Bowling Green Philharmonic Orchestra.

I am the winner of the 2011 International Frank Smith Solo Competition, winner of the Bowling Green State University Concerto Competition, and winner of the Third Asian Brass Competition held in Beijing, China.
