The Experienced Freight Broker is responsible for building customer relationships and identifying their shipping needs.
* Build customer relationships and identifies their shipping needs
* Develop new customers and business through the use of sales leads
* Present customers with cost effective solutions to meet their service requirements
* Qualify and actively prospect for new customers
* Establish and maintain carrier relationships to ensure success in meeting customers shipping needs
* Coordinate movements of freight through our extensive carrier network
* Shift responsibilities between operational and sales demands
* Work interactively within a Freight Broker Team to maximize overall performance
* Build carrier relationships and identifies freight capailities
Requirements:
* Some college preferred
* Proven success in brokering freight and developing carrier relationships
* Existing book of business required
* Minimum 3 years experience in multiple mode Freight Brokering role with strong customer service
* Strong knowledge of truckload pricing models, current market pricing and effective negotiating skills
